I’m Zixuan—though you’re welcome to call me Alex. I’m a first-year engineering student at Columbia University with a deep passion for biomimetic, underwater, and soft robotics. I love drawing inspiration from nature’s own designs to tackle environmental challenges beneath the waves.

Off the clock, you might catch me playing a soulful jazz tune on my tenor saxophone—a creative tool I use to challenge gender inequality in STEM—or enjoying a spirited game of ultimate frisbee with friends.
